Recruitment framework
Recruitment to academic positions is conducted under the UGC (Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and Other Academic Staff) Regulations, 2018, the Odisha University (Amendment) Act, 2024, and the relevant State Government circulars on reservation. Administrative recruitment is conducted under the Odisha Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1962, as adapted by the University Statutes.
- Reservation as per the constitutional and State matrices: ST 22.5%, SC 16.25%, SEBC 11.25%, EWS 10%, PwBD 5% (horizontal).
- Selection is by a duly constituted Selection Committee, with the Chairperson nominated by the Hon'ble Chancellor for Professor and Associate Professor levels.
- Provisional appointment letters are issued on a stipulated probation; confirmation follows on satisfactory completion.
- The University does not charge any fee from candidates for processing of applications.
