NAAC disclosures

Status

Vikram Dev University as a State public university is in its pre-accreditation period. The institution's predecessor body, Vikram Deb (Autonomous) College, held NAAC accreditation at Grade B in its most recent cycle.

Following the 2023 university charter, the University is preparing its first NAAC submission cycle. The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is being constituted in accordance with NAAC norms; the Steering Committee for the first Self-Study Report (SSR) will be notified in 2026-27.

IQAC

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell is mandated to drive the quality-assurance agenda of the University. Composition under NAAC guidelines includes the Vice-Chancellor (Chairperson), senior administrative officers, members from management, senior teachers, employers and industry, alumni, students, the NAAC Coordinator, and the Director of the IQAC.

Forthcoming submissions

• Institutional Information for Quality Assessment (IIQA): the entry document for the NAAC cycle. Eligible after a minimum operational period.
• Self-Study Report (SSR): the substantive evidence document, structured around the seven NAAC criteria.
• Document Verification and Validation (DVV): the cross-check round.
• Peer Team Visit: on-site inspection.
• AQAR: Annual Quality Assurance Report, filed every year following accreditation.

Predecessor body — Vikram Deb (Autonomous) College

NAAC documents pertaining to the predecessor accreditation cycle of Vikram Deb (Autonomous) College are maintained in the Records Office and may be sought through the Office of the Registrar or under the RTI Act, 2005.
