PG-SAMS portal — opens 1 May 2026

Master of Arts, Master of Science, and Master of Commerce admissions are routed through the Postgraduate Student Academic Management System (PG-SAMS) operated by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Odisha. The portal opens on 1 May 2026 for the 2026-27 cycle.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor's degree of three or four years in the subject or an allied discipline, with not less than 45% aggregate (40% for SC/ST).
  • For research admissions, Master's degree with not less than 55% (50% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD); UGC NET, SET (Odisha), or University RET as applicable.
  • For MBA admission, valid score in CAT/MAT/CMAT/OJEE-MBA, or the University-administered entrance test.
  • For MCA admission, BCA / B.Sc. (Computer Science) or equivalent with mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level.

Reservation

Reservation as per the matrix set out on the Admissions main page: ST 22.5%, SC 16.25%, SEBC 11.25%, EWS 10%, PwBD 5% horizontal, and other categories as notified by the State Government.

Fee structure

Postgraduate programme fees are programme-specific. The full schedule is published as part of the PG prospectus. M.Sc. (Chemistry), M.Sc. (Physics), and MCA include a laboratory-and-consumables component. MBA fee structure is published separately.

Reporting and registration

  1. Online document verification on the PG-SAMS dashboard.
  2. Physical reporting at the Department on the date notified.
  3. APAAR ID issuance and ABC enrolment within ten working days of registration.
  4. DigiLocker linkage for digital certificates.
